Ingrid Sætersdal
My PhD project aims at developing sedimentary ancient DNA (sedaDNA) and paleoecology to study past biodiversity and environmental changes in Norwegian fjords and their effect on the ecosystem over the last 400 years. I mainly focus on microbial eukaryotes, which are highly abundant and play important roles in marine ecosystems, yet are largely understudied.
