Erika Giorgi
I am a PhD student in the physical oceanography group at GFI as part of the ROVER project (Resilient northern Overturning). I am originally from Florence, Italy, but I did my university education in The Netherlands, where I completed my master's in Marine Science at Utrecht University. For my PhD project, I am researching water mass transformation in the Nordic Seas, especially along the East Greenland Current with the retreating ice edge of this region due to a warmer climate.
